This re-appearing commercial might just be what initially got me stirring and out of bed after three weeks of combined flu and utter fear over the financial crisis. I lost a lot - millions did. I've had to figure things out and a lot of changes to come.
I enjoyed being in bed - hiding. Up and about now with very surprising mega-energy like it was 30 years ago. I think that while hiding I re-connected with all the things that have sustained me throughout my life (including past times of poverty) - spirituality, environmental and political & community issues, my art, my love of learning and a need to be extremely practical about day to day affairs.
The essential practical thing is to find employment after 13 years out of the work force. Also, must move to a more modest apartment when something comes up - I've got a little time to find something cheaper, smaller - hopefully in the same building. Travel plans and photography business plans have to go on the back-burner indefinitely cause I'm heading back into the office environment to bring in a regular pay-cheque ASAP.
What's interesting about the commercial above is reading the comments over at YouTube. Everyone is feeling seriously uplifted and joyful viewing this ad for the Discovery Channel (In Canada, this channel is about Science & Nature). Sometimes I get kinda teary when it comes on - in a hopeful way, wondering if it might be possible that everyone can get on the path to loving our planet and all the wondrous living things.
